To be that Joseph RANCOUR the man in the photo would need to be, at minimum, 130 years old. This is given that the first public portrait studio didn't open until 1842 in Boston, MASS, a few years after the first photos were taken in the testing of the photographic processes which would soon be used. This photograph was taken more recently than the 1840's. Taking clothing, hair, style of photo (casual), and the ages of the persons in the picture I'd say it would likely run between the beginning and the end of the 1860's, but more likely the latter part.
I descend from Joseph and his wife, Marie PARANT. I'd love seeing a picture of them. This isn't it.
